this unbelievably tiny (1 1/8" long) skull was originally found in a science teacher's supply catalog. the original belonged to a ruby-throated hummingbird, (archilochus colubris) which are mostly found in eastern and central US. reaching a length of only 3 inches. they are, along with other hummingbirds, the smallest birds in the world. this specimen was cast and hangs from an antique sturdy chain. they're spectacularly detailed and true-to-life, and suitable for wear by both men and women. total chain length is 22". spring ring clasp at back. choose from bronze or sterling silver.
