Hilary Rosenman and Barri Budin draw inspiration for their retro footwear line from their beloved Lower East Side as well as New York’s staggering music and art scene. The name Madison Harding is a nod to the designer’s roots, Hilary grew up on Madison Ave in New York City and Barri on Harding Drive in New Jersey. The two met while studying art at Skidmore College and moved to the East Village in New York City to start their careers in the fashion industry. Hilary served as a fashion market editor and Barri assisted at a contemporary fashion showroom. Shortly thereafter they fused their knowledge of production, sales, and the fashion industry to create Madison Harding.
